(PRWEB UK) 17 April 2013 </p><p> According to Insider Media, nearly one in four companies in the South East region highlighted cash flow as their biggest problem. The survey, carried out by software provider Sage UK, included 700 South East enterprises, 23 percent of which reported cash flow as their biggest challenge over the coming 12 months.</p>
<p>The study found a further 19 percent of firms stating that maintaining their customer base is their primary concern, whilst 5 percent highlight late payments.
<br />Jon Cowan of Sage UK commented, Cash flow is the life blood of any small business and it is worrying to see so many cite this as their biggest concern in the current economic climate. Cowan also added that entrepreneurs who do not closely monitor their cash flow face an uphill struggle to remain solvent.</p>

<p>He continues, We urge all companies worrying about losing control of their cash flow to assess where they can automate their business payments. This way, businesses will know exactly when they will receive the owed funds, allowing them to settle their outgoings as well as focusing on growing the business.</p>
