Jessilyn Park Sells to Discerning Art Connoisseur in England

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 10, 2013

Jessilyn Park hasn't always painted. In fact, she's only been painting for 15 months. She actually graduated with a degree from UCF in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications with a minor in business. She worked her way up the corporate ladder and received a Certificate in Social Media Marketing and was attending Master's Classes in Mass Communication when her life changed. She picked up a paintbrush. She posted it to her Facebook, which at the time had around 1200 Friends of Friends and Family. It sold instantly. She tried again. The same thing happened. Her life hasn't been the same since.

Park uses her skills in social media to promote her brightly colored artwork. Fans of her art call it "happy". She has amassed a combined total of over 55,000 followers on all social network accounts since she began painting.

"I typically get around 200-300 new followers a day." Park says, of her Twitter account. "My Facebook page varies, but it's usually around 50-100."

So it's no wonder that Ross Tozer, of Birmingham England found her online. "I was drawn to her bright artwork and have been following her since she began painting." Tozer said. "I had been waiting and waiting on a painting of hers that touched my soul, so when I saw this one, I knew it belonged in my house."

Ross instantly fell in love with the painting titled, "Don't Walk, Fly to Your Dreams". Park painted it for her upcoming solo show on April 18th at Walk Through Gallery in Orlando, Florida, where she resides. "But this one won't be making it to the gallery!", Tozer exclaimed. The painting depicts Park's art journey. There are birds flying to a heart and inside the heart is a lion. "There is a lion and a heart. It's about having the courage (lion) to take a risk (birds in flight) to chase your dreams and do something you love (heart)." Park said of the painting. "It symbolizes my career path change and me having the courage to quit my corporate job to pursue this art thing."

Jessilyn plans on making prints of the painting and also having the images on her new line of merchandise including mugs, aprons, t-shirts, mouse pads, cookie jars and clocks. To visit her merchandise store, click here: http://www.zazzle.com/jessilypark
