New International Living Report Lists Costa Rica As Top Retirement Destination

San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) March 28, 2013

In a report titled "The World's Top Retirement Havens in 2013", the world renown and accredited travel publication International Living, rated Costa Rica in the Top 5 best places to retire in the world.

Since then more studies have been revealed that only increase the attractiveness of this tiny Latin American nation.

One such study by Latinvex, a news agency focused on covering news throughout all of Latin America, published a report revealing the safest countries in Latin America and this same study listed Costa Rica #1 most safest place to live in the entire region. The ranking of 19 countries was based on data from public security departments, local police, governments, NGOs, and institutions responsible for crime investigation.

Additionally, the New Economics Foundation published their findings on the HPI - Happy Planet Index - and officially ranked Costa Rica as the happiest place on Earth. The study cited numerous factors to determine the rating from data culled from the Gallup World Poll, asking people how they felt their lives measured up on a scale of 1 to 10. Then the organization (HPI) factored in life expectancy and the countrys ecological footprint -- the amount of land needed to sustain the its way of life.

"The Mar Vista Costa Rica retirement community is one built on promise and fulfillment. At Mar Vista there's no waiting for amenities to arrive - they're already here!" says PM Alejandro Berkowitz.

"The reality is that people are growing increasingly tired of the hectic pace and constant bombardment of one crisis after the next - they seek refuge. At Mar Vista we provide affordable homes...in paradise." added Berkowitz.

Mar Vista is the premier retirement community along the Gold Coast of Guanacaste - a haven for expatriates who've already made the decision to live their lives in the happiest place on Earth.

Although not new information, the fact remains that of the 5 officially designated "Blue Zones" in the world, Costa Rica is one of them. What this means is that the country has one of the longest life expectancies in the world and along with that they consider educational and information resources, community health programs, foods and food services, real estate developments and consumer goods.

Overall it becomes clear that Costa Rica is poised particularly well in portraying itself as one of the top retirement destinations in the world for expats seeking all the necessary criteria that makes any place an attractive destination to live out your golden years.
