It all started back in August of 2012. The Helping Others Project was launched. This unique online version of giving back to the community has taken on a life of its own. According to Bob Balderston President of Blue Springs Ford, "The goal was to donate $ 1,000 a month every month to charities that are publically nominated till we reach our Goal of $ 250,000 donated."
So far, Blue Springs Ford has donated $ 7,000 and is on their way to the lofty $ 250,000 goal. The Following charities have all received Blue Springs Ford's generous donations.

Step Up For Down Syndrome Charity Walk
Outreach International
Variety of Greater Kansas City
Friends of the Friendless
Help Humane Society
Congenital Heart Defects Families Association

"This is very exciting to be a part of" said David Gavril eCommerce Director at Blue Springs Ford, he goes on to say that "it is exciting to see the nominations come in and the votes cast, but the most gratifying moment is to call the winner and ask them to come so we may present the check to them. It is quite fun!"
